Newton Dental Associates is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Elyse Wagner to our prosthodontics department.
As a Prosthodontist, Dr. Wagner is a highly trained recognized specialist in the diagnosis, treatment planning, and rehabilitation of the mouth, which includes dental implants, crowns, bridges, dentures and cosmetic dentistry. The rigorous training and experience gives Dr. Wagner a special understanding of the dynamics of a smile and preservation of a healthy mouth.
Dr. Wagner received her Bachelor Degree from the University of Massachusetts, a Masters Degree in Biology from New York University and her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from Tufts University. Dr. Wagner trained for an additional 3 years at the prestigious Montefiore Medical Center in NYC where she received her Post Graduate degree in prosthodontics. Dr. Wagner then received Fellowship training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC to sub specialize in the treatment of oral cancer patients learning to make prostheses that replaced palates, and parts of the jaw and face.
She is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics and an Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics AAMP.
Dr. Elyse Wagner grew up on the South shore of Long Island, NY and always knew that she wanted to become a dentist. Her passion for full mouth reconstructions (makeovers) led her to become a prosthodontist. Dr. Wagner says, “Maybe you lost your smile due to trauma or dental disease, no person should have to face that challenge and be ashamed to smile, I am here to help patients achieve their esthetic and functional goals”.
