An impacted tooth is one that is stuck in the surrounding bone or tissue.  The canine teeth are critical for function and aesthetics. Typically, our surgeon will work with your orthodontist to help clear a path for your canines to erupt into position.  It is important to treat this early as the longer they are “trapped”, the more their roots develop and fuse with bone beneath your gums.
