How Does it Work?
Newton Dental Associates uses an advanced accelerated orthodontic treatment called PROPEL. Our professionals use a combination of Invisalign and the PROPEL acceleration system. PROPEL is a safe procedure that uses a device to stimulate the bone around teeth, prompting them to move faster. After the bone is stimulated, the movement of teeth is more predictable, which allows for easier treatment of complicated cases. The PROPEL procedure is noninvasive, causes little to no discomfort, and takes just a few minutes to complete. Here are the steps to expect from a typical accelerated orthodontic procedure:
- Rinse the mouth to sterilize the target area
- Numb the gums to avoid any pain or discomfort during the procedure
- A few small perforations are performed in the designated area to stimulate the bone
- Carry on with daily activities directly after the procedure
