Wisdom teeth are an extra set of molars found in the back of your mouth. They typically come in between the ages of 18-25 and we are able to spot these teeth with a simple X-ray. Wisdom teeth can sometimes emerge through the gums and because the area is difficult to clean, it can lead to gum disease and oral infection. We recommend our patients to remove wisdom teeth before the roots are fully formed, its benefits to be younger for this procedures because you are more likely to recover faster from surgery.
